Topic: Microbial Impact on Pharmacotherapy and Toxicology: Exploring Drug-Microbiota Interactions

The intricate interplay between microorganisms and pharmacotherapy is an emerging frontier in biomedical science, offering profound implications for drug efficacy, safety, and individualized medicine. This Special Issue, "Microbial Impact on Pharmacotherapy and Toxicology: Exploring Drug-Microbiota Interactions," delves into the dynamic interactions between the human microbiota and pharmaceutical agents. The human microbiome has gained recognition as a modulator of health and disease. Its role in drug response and adverse reactions has become an area of intense research interest. This issue aims to bridge the gap between microbiology and pharmacology, presenting cutting-edge research, comprehensive reviews, and insightful perspectives on how the microbiota modifies pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics.
