Eligibility Requirements:
- All papers published in Microstructures will be automatically included.

Selection Criteria:
The best paper will be selected by the Journal Award Committee according to the following criteria:
- Scientific merit and overall impact;
- Originality of the research objectives and/or the ideas presented;
- Creativity of the study design or uniqueness of the approaches and concepts;
- Citation and download metrics.

Best Reviewer Award

Eligibility Requirements:
- All reviewers for Microstructures will be automatically included.

Selection Criteria:
The best reviewer will be selected by the Journal Award Committee according to the following criteria:
- Number of review reports (only first review reports are considered);
- Review quality as rated in MESAs;
- Review speed.

Eligibility Requirements:
- All Associate Editors for Microstructures will be automatically included.

Selection Criteria:
The best Editor will be selected by the Journal Award Committee according to the following criteria:
- Quality, speed and number of manuscript handling;
- Number of published papers in the journal;
- Number of invited manuscripts;
- Contributions such as promoting the journal among peers or at conferences or providing input or feedback regarding journal regulations;
