Homeostatic Medicine is an international peer-reviewed, open access, online journal.

Aims and Scope

Homeostatic Medicine aims to bring together cutting-edge research on the delicate balance that underlies normal biological processes and how its disruption can lead to disease. The journal's scope covers molecular, cellular, and systemic mechanisms of homeostasis across diverse organisms and tissues, highlighting how these mechanisms are maintained, monitored, and disrupted. It provides a forum for both experimental and theoretical work exploring the interplay among genetic, physiological, and environmental factors in maintaining or compromising homeostasis. Submissions may span a broad range of fields - including physiology, pathology, immunology, systems biology, and clinical medicine - all with the shared goal of deepening our understanding of health and disease through the lens of homeostatic control.

Types of articles

The journal welcomes original research articles presenting novel data or findings. Comprehensive review articles, including systematic reviews and meta-analyses, are also encouraged. Short communications and brief reports that convey concise yet impactful data are accepted. Perspective and commentary pieces are invited to spark discussion on emerging topics and ongoing debates. Letters to the editor may be submitted to address published research or contribute to ongoing dialogues in the field.
