Multiple interdependent processes - including NO decline, glycocalyx thinning, shear stress vulnerability, chronic inflammation, oxidative stress, VSMCs dysfunction, senescence, ECM remodeling, epigenetic reprogramming, and brain-vascular axis disruption - converge to accelerate systemic vascular deterioration and organ injury.
