This will establish Georgia’s first globally-ranked hospital, which will be fully accredited by the globally recognized Joint Commission International (JCI), a leader in healthcare quality and patient safety. One of the most significant and ambitious medical concepts of AHT is the Centers of Excellence. These are specialized centers dedicated to the health and life of each individual. The centers are headed by high-class professionals in Georgian medicine and with their involvement, AHT cooperates with university clinics in Georgia, Turkey, and the US. AHT envisions a future where it drives the evolution of Georgian healthcare, striving to become the most trusted healthcare provider that ensures lifelong health and well-being for its patients.

University of Magdeburg Department of Surgery

About: The Otto von Guericke University of Magdeburg was founded in 1993 and is one of the younger Universities in Germany. The University has an outstanding competence in biomedical engineering, artificial intelligence and robotic application in clinical medicine. Professor Roland Croner became the Chairman of Surgery in 2017 and is a pioneer in the field of Robotic Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Robotic surgery in Germany. He is currently developing the Magdeburg Academy of Robotic Surgery and Intervention (MARSI) and is particularly interested in advanced imaging in robotic hepatobiliary surgery. MARSI is being created to serve as a center of robotic technological advancement and robotic training site in Germany for advanced hepatobiliary and gastrointestinal pathologies.

Artificial Intelligence and Innovation Meeting (AI2M)

Time and Venue: September 19-21, 2024 | Bologna (Italy)
About: Do you want to see what the future operating room will look like? Join us at AI2M in Bologna, Italy, on September 19th for a live demonstration of AI Augmented Surgery powered by Orsi Innotech! The goal of the first Artificial Intelligence and Innovation Meeting (AI2M) is to bring together clinicians and engineers to develop integrated solutions and to deliver healthcare products that leverage all the knowledge in computer science developed over the last decades. AI2M specifically focuses on procedural medicine leveraging all sources of data that can be collected in this space to improve clinical outcomes, safety, and efficiency.
In addition to these goals, the meeting will specifically focus on robotic surgery and surgical simulation. Despite the recent rise in robotic surgery popularity, the platform is merely used as an extended limb for the surgeon, and we do not capitalize on the immense amount of data collected (video, kinematic) to improve surgical outcomes. The meeting will also have a specific focus on regulatory and medicolegal issues related to data and AI in the healthcare space, as well as roundtables with regulators and administrators to discuss opportunities to increase the pace of implementation of such technologies.
We believe that Europe, an incredible receptacle for healthcare and engineering talent, is the right place to hold such a meeting.
Please join a stellar faculty roster of leaders from US/Europe, from both Healthcare and Tech spaces, in Bologna, Italy for the inaugural event of this medicine/engineering joint venture. The meeting will be hosted in “the food capital of Italy” during one of the best possible season to visit this country.
