National Distinguished Professor of Neurology
Prof. Le is the Director of the Academic Committee of Medical School of University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, Director of Neurology Department & Institute in Sichuan Academy of Medical Science-Sichuan Provincial Hospital. He also works as life-time Tenured Professor & Head of the top clinical discipline in Dalian Medical University.
From 2006-2013, Dr. Le served as a Professor of Neurology and Director of the Parkinson's Disease Research Center at Baylor College of Medicine, where he was rewarded 3 NIH RO-1. He once worked as the Director of the Institute of Neurology at Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine and the Executive Chairman of the Biomedical Institute of Shanghai Ruijin Hospital, and 100-talent professor of neurogenomic laboratory, Institute of Health Science, Chinese Academy of Science.
Prof. Le interests in the research on pathogenesis, biomarkers and the targeted therapy of neurodegenerative diseases. He has published more than 350 papers in internationally important academic journals, such as Nature Genetics, Science, PNAS, Autophagy, Brain, JAMA, Lancet Neurology, etc. His papers were cited over 38,000 times and he has been chosen into the list of Highly Cited Chinese Researchers in the field of Neuroscience by Elsevier for 9 years (H-index 89). Prof. Le held 3 Key Programs and 6 General Programs of National Natural Science Foundation of China, held/participated in 4 Key Projects of Chinese National Programs for Fundamental Research and Development (973 program) and Chinese National Programs for High Technology Research and Development (863 program).

Yongye Huang

Topic: Circadian rhythm in neurodegenerative disease: the role of RNA modifications and potential application of RNA-based therapeutics

Dr. Yongye Huang is an Associate Professor and Ph.D. supervisor at Northeastern University, recognized as an Outstanding Teacher and leader of the Kirin Innovation Team. He has been awarded a Provincial First-Class Undergraduate Course and the Provincial Teaching Achievement Award as the principal investigator. Dr. Huang received a Provincial Science and Technology Progress First Prize and has guided students to win prestigious accolades such as gold and silver medals, as well as special commendations at the International Genetically Engineered Machine (iGEM) competition. His mentorship has also led students to secure first prizes in the national finals of the China Undergraduate Life Sciences Competition. He has been repeatedly recognized as an Outstanding Thesis Advisor and an Excellent Instructor for student innovation and entrepreneurship.
Dr. Huang has published over 50 SCI papers in top-tier journals, including Science Bulletin, STTT, and Stem Cells, with single-article citations exceeding 500 and one article listed as an ESI Highly Cited Paper. He is the co-editor of the textbook Molecular Biology and a contributing author to Nuclear Reprogramming (Humana Press). Additionally, he serves as an Associate Editor for Journal of Cellular and Molecular Medicine and Frontiers in Cell and Developmental Biology and as an editorial board member for Biology and Oncology Letters.

Ying Ma

Topic: Age-related hearing loss: possible associations with Alzheimer’s disease

Dr. Ying Ma earned her Ph.D. from Imperial College London and joined Professor Renjie Chai's research group at Southeast University as a lecturer in December 2020. She has been honored as a Jiangsu Province “Double Innovation Doctor,” a recipient of the Jiangsu Young Science and Technology Talent Support Program, and a Southeast University “Zhishan Scholar.” Her research focuses on neural signaling pathways related to sleep and neurodegenerative diseases and their connection to hearing loss. Her work has been published in prestigious journals such as Nature Neuroscience, Current Biology, Neuron, and Molecular Psychiatry, with a total of nine research articles contributing to a cumulative impact factor exceeding 130.
Dr. Ma has independently led a Youth Project funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and has played a key role in multiple key R&D projects under the Ministry of Science and Technology and major research programs of the National Natural Science Foundation of China. Additionally, she has received funding for a Jiangsu Province “Double Innovation Doctor” project.
