Topic: Selected Papers from 2nd International Cancer Science Congress (ICSC) 2024

In recent decades, big omics data, epigenetics, the tumor microenvironment, tumor dormancy, and tumor cell metabolism, to name a few of the new frontiers in cancer science, have challenged the traditional idea that cancer is simply the result of abnormal expression of oncogenes and tumor suppressor genes affecting cell growth and cell death. This Special Issue is dedicated to the 2nd International Cancer Science Congress (ICSC 2024) to be held in Baia di Nora (Cagliari, Italy) from October 12-14, 2024. This is the second inaugural meeting in a new series of conferences aimed at discussing critically new paradigms in cancer science to inspire innovative strategies for treating this disease. We will collect the Abstracts, original research, and review articles presented at the conference, focusing on the following (yet not limited) topics: Cancer cell biology; Cancer cell metabolism; Epigenetics and Cancer; Etiology and Mechanisms of Cancerogenesis; Oncogenes and Tumor suppressor genes; DNA repair and familial predisposition to cancer; Mechanisms of metastasis; Tumor dormancy; Cancer diagnosis and prognosis; Clinical oncology and cancer therapy; Tumor microenvironment; Immune-oncology; Hemato-oncology; Tumor evolution; Probiotics and nutraceuticals for adjuvant cancer therapy.

The Special Issue will feature:
We aim to publish original research and review articles questioning the current paradigms and proposing novel avenues for understanding the cancerogenic and metastatic processes. All articles will undergo a rigorous peer review process before publication.
