Special Topic Introduction
This Special Issue focuses on recent advances in wearable sensing and energy harvesting, especially technologies that integrate sensing, power management, and communication into practical, user-comfortable systems. By bringing together innovations in biosensing, flexible materials, and self-power sources, this issue aims to accelerate advances in wearable sensing and energy harvesting.
Topics covered include, but are not limited to:
● Wearable biochemical and physiological sensors for continuous health monitoring;
● On-body energy harvesting (biofuel cells, triboelectric, piezoelectric, thermoelectric);
● Stretchable and skin-conformal energy storage and power management;
● Integrated self-powered systems with wireless data transmission;
● Biocompatible, breathable, and durable materials for long-term wear;
● Scalable fabrication and miniaturization of multifunctional wearable devices;
● Human-subject validation and clinical / performance applications.
