Special Topic Introduction

This Special Issue focuses on recent advances in wearable sensing and energy harvesting, especially technologies that integrate sensing, power management, and communication into practical, user-comfortable systems. By bringing together innovations in biosensing, flexible materials, and self-power sources, this issue aims to accelerate advances in wearable sensing and energy harvesting.

Topics covered include, but are not limited to:

● Wearable biochemical and physiological sensors for continuous health monitoring;

● On-body energy harvesting (biofuel cells, triboelectric, piezoelectric, thermoelectric);

● Stretchable and skin-conformal energy storage and power management;

● Integrated self-powered systems with wireless data transmission;

● Biocompatible, breathable, and durable materials for long-term wear;

● Scalable fabrication and miniaturization of multifunctional wearable devices;

● Human-subject validation and clinical / performance applications.

Keywords
