Special Issue Introduction

This Special Issue addresses critical challenges and innovative solutions related to the recovery, recycling, and reuse of materials within the energy sector. As global demand for sustainable energy rises, efficient recovery of materials used in batteries, fuel cells, solar cells, and other energy conversion and storage technologies has become increasingly critical. This issue will highlight cutting-edge research that spans the development of advanced recovery techniques, the design of recyclable materials, and the theoretical understanding of material degradation and regeneration processes.

We invite submissions that explore novel synthetic methods, fundamental theories, and advanced characterization techniques aimed at improving material recovery processes. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, material recovery from batteries and supercapacitors, solar cells, fuel cells, and thermoelectric devices, as well as the recycling of materials used in other energies such as hydrogen generation, bioenergy, and hydrocarbon conversion.

Contributions should offer significant insights with the potential to shape the future of energy materials recovery and align with the journal's focus on innovative research at the nexus of energy conversion, storage, and sustainability. We welcome both experimental and theoretical studies with the potential to drive technological advancements and inform global energy strategies.
