Topic: Powering Progress: Women Scientists in Energy Materials
Guest Editor(s)
Special Issue Introduction
Addressing global challenges such as climate change and the energy crisis requires scientific guidance, particularly leveraging the POWER of women scientists worldwide. Countless women possess significant potential to contribute to science. However, traditional beliefs, educational backgrounds, marital and familial obligations, and other factors often present obstacles for female scientists regarding workplace development, birth costs and family responsibilities. Publicity for the scientific research work of women scientists should be strengthened. Prominent role models of female scientists should be promoted and used to inspire and guide the younger generation of women.
Energy Materials is dedicated to sharing the latest advances in materials science and engineering in the domain of energy conversion and storage, publishing research articles, newsletters, reviews, research highlights, and forward-looking original research work focusing on the challenges of a sustainable energy future. On the occasion of International Women's Day, March 8th, Energy Materials set the Special Issue entitled "Powering Progress: Women Scientists in Energy Materials". This issue will report the critical advances made by women scientists in energy-related fields. We invite manuscripts in areas including, but not limited to: rechargeable batteries, electrocatalysis, supercapacitors, fuel cells, solar cells, and hydrogen-related areas.
