The 2024 Inaugural International Online Editorial Board Meeting of PAR: A Successful Gathering

The Plastic and Aesthetic Research (PAR) journal successfully hosted its first-ever International Online Editorial Board Meeting on December 20, 2024. This landmark event highlights the journal’s ongoing commitment to fostering global collaboration in the field of plastic and aesthetic surgery.

Chaired by PAR Editor-in-Chief Prof. Mark K. Wax, the meeting brought together Editorial and Youth Editorial Board members from 10 countries. The agenda focused on summarizing the journal’s latest developments, discussing strategic directions for its future, and recognizing the 2024 honorees for Best Editor, Outstanding Editorial Board Members, and Youth Editorial Board Members.

The meeting provided a detailed overview of the journal’s submission, publication, rejection rates, interviews, conferences, and other data for 2024. The strengths of the journal’s development were acknowledged, while existing challenges were discussed and thoroughly analyzed. Editorial board members actively participated, offering many constructive suggestions for the journal's future growth.

The meeting concluded with participants reaffirming their shared commitment to maintaining the highest standards of scholarly publishing and further establishing PAR as a leading platform for groundbreaking research in plastic and aesthetic surgery.
