Successful Online Editorial Board Meeting for Ageing and Neurodegenerative Diseases (AND)
The online Editorial Board meeting of Ageing and Neurodegenerative Diseases (AND) was successfully held on December 20, 2024. During the meeting, Editor-in-Chief Prof. Weidong Le reviewed the journal’s achievements in 2024, expressed heartfelt gratitude to all Editorial Board members, and outlined the strategic development plan for 2025. The meeting also provided an opportunity to discuss future directions and key initiatives.
A total of 25 esteemed EB members from diverse academic backgrounds attended the meeting. A complete list of participants is provided at the end of this update.
Prof. Weidong Le opened the meeting by warmly welcoming the EB members and presenting a comprehensive report on the journal’s accomplishments in 2024, highlighting significant publications, increased visibility, and improved citation metrics. Looking ahead to 2025, the focus will be on prioritizing high-impact review articles, expanding Special Issue topics, and fostering stronger collaborations with international researchers and academic organizations to strengthen the journal’s global reach and impact.
During the discussion segment, EB members emphasized the importance of maintaining a rigorous peer review process, boosting the journal’s visibility through conferences, and collaborating with global experts. These suggestions will guide the journal’s strategies for the upcoming year.
The meeting concluded with Prof. Le thanking the EB members for their ongoing commitment and contributions, and reaffirming his confidence that Ageing and Neurodegenerative Diseases will achieve even greater milestones in 2025 under the professional guidance of its Editorial Board and the collective efforts of all contributors.
